Every time the baby makes a sound--no matter how tiny the squeak--Eli runs through the house looking for me, yelling: "Baby is CRYING!! Baby is CRYING!!" Apparently squeaks means she needs my immediate attention. And yes, I do appreciate how sweet this is, no matter the volume.
Last night for supper I made shake and bake chicken legs/thighs. It is one of Cowen's favorite foods. While we were eating, Cowen said, "Just call me Chicken Leg Man!"
To which, Timothy promptly said, "Do I have your permission to call you that for the rest of your life?"
Every time Cowen walks past the baby he stops, stares at her for a minute, and then says, "She's just so cute!"
And every time we call Harriet "Baby," Emeline gets all annoyed and says, "Call her Harriet!" I'm not sure why she is so adamant about this issue.
What we don't hear is much crying. Lady Harriet sleeps 99.9% of the time. I can work with that.

I wonder if she sleeps so much because she came early? I was 3 weeks early and my mom said I WOULD NOT wake up for practically the whole next 3 weeks. She had to take my clothes off and drip water on me just so I'd wake up enough to eat. Thanks a lot mom, I've been trying to make up that lost sleep for the last 30 years!

you need to try the zataran's shake and bake mix - has a kick to it - luke loves, charlie not so much.
