1) The roofers will finish our roof tomorrow. Yeah!!
2) I miss my mom. She's in Denmark.
3) I miss my camera--it is away getting fixed.
4) I found a bunch of mold growing in my blanket closet. Hence, I need my Mom.
5) Sunday afternoon I spied a mouse creeping out from under my piano. I shrieked, called Patsy, and hoped the mouse would get eaten up posthaste. A cat would have been a better choice. The mouse is still at large. Timothy is headed to Target for traps right now.
6) The kids started swimming lessons today. There are only three kids in Cowen's class, three in Miriam's class (only two were there today), and seven in Emeline's class. During the summer there are 8 children per class and it is a zoo. I am so glad we homeschool so we can take advantage of things like out-of-season swim lessons.
7) Eli does not like having to watch the other children swim. They don't offer swim lessons for the under three crowd.
8) I can't remember if I posted this or not but Emeline said to me: "Mom, when I grow up I want to be Chinese." Me: "Why?" Emeline: "So I can eat bamboo." Hee hee.
9) Timothy and Eli had an interesting conversation tonight. Timothy: "Eli, what is our baby's name?" Eli: "Harriet." Timothy: "Where did Harriet come from?" Eli: "The library."
10) My favorite thing Eli says right now: "It spilled!" The reason this is charming is because he says it whenever Harriet spits up. Which is often. He often calls her "It." "It crying, Mom." "It sleeping, Mom." But my favorite is still the hilarious, "It spilled, Mom!!"

It WOULD be cool to be bamboo.
That was the only gross part about our camping site in Moab--it was right next to the beautiful Colorado River and a huge cliff, and it was very nice and shady, BUT every single night when the sun went down, these tiny little deer mice would come up to our feet, our fire, our car...anything with heat I think. They were tiny, and there were LOTS of them, and I didn't like it AT ALL! I made Sterling look through our tent each night...but better than spiders. If I had seen a spider, I would have had nightmares the rest of the trip---remember when Tim saved me from a spider in Zions? Good man.
I love #10. That is so cute. Thanks for sharing.
