Wupatki Pueblo During Our Phoenix Trip

As most of you know, we took a trip to Gilbert, AZ the week after Christmas for my sister Amy's wedding. We had a lovely time. Since we don't vacation much (ever), we wanted to do something to make it feel more like a family vacation so we took the trip in two days and on one of the days we stopped at Wupatki Pueblo National Monument and Sunset Crater. Good times.

The above picture is looking down at what archeologists think is some sort of sporting arena.
Miriam, the ruins, and some strangers.

The above pic is Emeline walking into what archeologists think is a place where the pueblo peoples held religious observances.
The above picture pretty much captures Cowen's attitude toward life.

That's a pretty rad-looking place. Good job going there. Even better job seeing me the next day. :)

You blend right in to the rocks Andrea. Did your kids have a hard time spotting you? ;)

Family vacations are so fun! Glad you got to go to Amy's wedding and enjoy family. Good times indeed.

You were 4 1/2 hours from me and you didn't come visit? Come on!
