Timothy's lesson was on the importance of learning and school. He asked the kids, "Why is it important to go to school?"
To which Miriam replied, "To learn how to replenish the earth."
Hilarious. Timothy gave me this look like what the heck do you teach our kids in homeschool? We've been reading the Old Testament and the commandment to multiply and replenish the earth comes up a lot in the first little bit (Adam, Noah).
Then Miriam looked from me to Tim with a perplexed look on her face, "Mom, you told me today that everything you learn helps you be a better mother." I did say that. Yes, I did. And knowing how to replenish is pretty handy if you want to be a mother. Makes sense. Still, I wanted to go somewhere where I could giggle in earnest at her innocence and Timothy's expression.

Hi Andrea. Not sure if you remember me but I'm Matt Ethington's wife, he worked with your hubby at Wiggins. I peak at your blog every once in awhile because...well your kids crack me up. I especially got a kick out of this one. Glad you're teaching those kiddos the essentials :) Your family is beautiful and it looks like you guys are doing great!
