Miriam's understanding of the scriptures

For family home evening, Timothy talked about the scripture in Nephi where Nephi says we should liken the scriptures to ourselves for our learning and profit. So for the FHE wall, Tim printed off the scripture and wrote some notes underneath about how the scriptures can "talk" to us.

Miriam reads everything on the FHE wall during every meal. Yesterday, after reading it through, she said, "Nephi was a funny one. He said the scriptures talk to him." The way she said it and the image she so clearly had in her head of talking scriptures was HILARIOUS.

I also love that she reads the FHE wall. That is why I haven't taken down the notes from my lesson from Elder Ballard's talk about how children can help mother. I get a lot more thank you's after mealtime these days.
