Tim's camping trip with the offspring

Timothy took the two older kids camping yesterday. I was, ahem, lonely, but I did get a lot done. In between trying to get people to talk to me on the phone or move in.

This is Cowen at their tentsite. All information posted here came from Tim.









This is the rock that had a pretty sheer drop that made Timothy nervous. Although he told the kids to keep away from the edge--they obeyed about as well as you'd expect.











This is a picture of the kids this morning. Apparently it was great camping weather because the kids were cold this morning, which is one of the reasons Miriam is still in her pajama pants.

This was after their arrival home when Miriam wouldn't let me take a picture of her teary face. Several break-downs on the way to getting them in bed for a nap.












Love how bossy Miriam looks in this picture. She is such the older sister.












Cowen. Good thing the blue nail polish doesn't show up in this picture. Lindsay Ann's name has been mud around here for that one.

Miriam. You might notice several clothing changes in the following pictures. It was a sad day when we chose to get her that adorable pink camelbak.









The reason for the clothing changes. Okay, the reason is she doesn't like to pee outside. The water just contributed.

Tim said that this series of pictures were heart-warming. The tree goes out over a drop-off and when Cowen saw Miriam going out on the tree he panicked.














And went to get her and bring her back to safety.

Tim said Cowen's voice was the ultimate in brotherly concern when he kept calling to her to come back.









Then, when Cowen realized no harm had befallen Miriam, he went out on a limb too.

















Tim said that Miriam whined and bellyached the whole way to their campsite and Cowen was manly and tough. Then, on the way home, Miriam was fine and Cowen whined the whole way. Especially in this stretch with the rocks.

Although I wouldn't have minded Miriam and Cowen being gone for another day--I sure did miss my man. It is very lonely without my family.
