What is Eating Emeline B?

Poor Emeline. She's been kicked out of her crib for a week and now she's been kicked out of her room entirely. Something is eating my baby. I don't know what it is, but we've pretty much ruled out bed bugs because we've heard from several sources that we would be able to see bed bugs, and I can't find anything.

I moved out her crib when she got the spider bite and washed behind it for cobwebs, I packed everything under her bed into neat plastic tubs with lids so nothing would be loose and easy to reproduce in, and I washed her whole crib.

And still--whatever it is that is eating her, continues to eat. The only "lead" we have is that when we took her out of her crib for a week she got no bites. When I put her back in her crib, she woke up with about seven bites all over her face. Back to the playpen she went.

So what could it be??? We don't know, but crib mattresses are more $ than we knew, so we opted to borrow Mom's bug spray and tonight we sprayed her room thoroughly. Which is why, poor Emeline is sleeping in the living room . Maybe this will work, maybe it won't, but I am so tired of seeing her pretty face all mutilated by nasty bites.

This is Emeline's hand--I think it is sweet. And aren't her new pajamas the cutest things you have EVER SEEN??? I know, I get all emotional about cute baby pajamas. I know this about myself.

Again, I wish I had Kayli's skill so I could show you how bad her face looks. This is the best shot I could get. Notice the pin--she's currently into de-clothing, taking off her diaper, and pooing. My mom claims none of her children did this. Hmm.

In other news--Kayli and I got our first feedback on the book and it was EXTREMELY POSITIVE!! I must admit, I feel pretty glowy and happy right this second. Of course, our reviewer also said she was going to burn the book--but that is only because she's currently emitting toxic radiation and has to burn everything when she gets to leave her room. That's what she says, anyway.
