Eating My Words and Emeline

When I went into Emeline's room this morning to get her out of bed--this is what I found. Strange ducky. Glad the laundry hamper and lotion kept your interest and you didn't get into the books.

There was no school today as Timothy had a work party that started at noon and I had a dr.'s appt. at 10:30.

We golfed. I know, I never thought I would golf either. Mini golf is so excruciatingly boring unless you cheat and make out with your man periodically. I thought golf looked like a terrible game and since Timothy doesn't like it, I thought I would never be forced to play it.

But then I found out that Timothy's work always hosts this golf party at the end of the summer, and since Timothy likes his job he thought it best that we go and socialize. I was all geared up to pretend to not mind it.

I LOVED IT!! Golf is FANTASTIC!! Of course, I can't putt (sp) to save my life, but driving makes up for it. All you have to do is grab a 3w and whack the ball as hard as you can. Who knew? And then there is Timothy's cart driving, which is a whole other story and added immeasurably to the enjoyment of the day. Of course, to start a preggo woman off with 18 holes her first time wasn't such a great idea. I loved the first 9 holes and then by the 18th I was wondering what anyone saw in the game. I am definitely a 9 hole kind of girl. Still--way fun. I can see how people get addicted. I already told Tim I wanted him to take me to the driving range on a date and he said, "I can't believe this is happening." HA HA HA!

After golf they fed us steak and the best crab salad I've ever had (among other things), so it was a great day all-round. THANK YOU FOR BABYSITTING LINDSAY ANN!! Seriously, what would I do without that girl??

Yeah, drink the lotion and the hand sanitizer and whatever else you can find- just don't touch those books!
