This is the Peddler showing Miriam the jewelry items. Notice the little jewelry box on the table--that was her major purchase of the evening. She had just enough leaves left over to buy one necklace and a few bracelets.
Cowen concentrating hard on his purchase of the Spiderman container. It used to contain puzzle pieces, but was empty when Timothy found it at Savers.
The Peddler, posing. Emeline purchased a Baby Tad Leapfrog and a necklace (all from Savers).
More showcasing the merchandise. He was a shrewd salesman.
Cowen looking at the motorcycle thing. We thought for sure that would beat out Spiderman--but no. Hard choice, though.
The Peddler was excited to see how many leaves there were at this house.
Gosh, that is one fine-looking Peddler. He made his own costume last night.
Miriam was disappointed that the Peddler was Dad, and she still thinks there is a "real" Peddler. We thought about asking someone else to do it, but she knows everyone we know. Hmm. Maybe this is one time she'll just have to continue to be disappointed.
This is from earlier this week when Lindsay Ann and Hailey helped us build a fort on the wall.
I was a lot of help. So was Cassidy.
The completed fort. Sweet job, kiddos.
Timothy working on his Peddler costume.
This is from school time today. Miriam took her first test--on chapter three in her math book. Then we read a book about the Mayflower, and then moved on to art appreciation. We looked at the paintings of the Pilgrims by N.C. Wyeth and then we drew our own pictures of the Pilgrims using those pencils that you can color over with water to get a watercolor effect. Kami, in all her artsiness, told me that they weren't that cool--but Miriam, Cowen, and I sure thought they were magical!! Very fun day.

I love you! I love your talents as a teacher - as a mother - as a wife. And every time you blog about homeschooling and I see everything you do and how amazing it looks - the more I realize - maybe I won't be homeschooling after all. I'd never even be able to compete - and you have one in the oven. When I'm preggers - my brain is fried - as well as my body...I don't know how you do it. Congrats.
PS - are you having pics taken of Emeline or taking them yourself. Either way - would love you to post them at some point. She's a cutie.
I love it!!! Keep on doing what you are doing. You have the best team mate there ever parenting your kids right along with you.
Go Timothy! Love the photo of him working on his costume....that photo speaks VOLUMES about his Character as a father. WOW!
Just awesome.
WOW--I was SOOOO not as excited about Tim's costume as I should have been. Wow.
The only thing I was thinking is that maybe he should have a rope for a belt, but then, maybe he's a well-to-do peddlar.
So awesome.
Andrea,
I need your email address. Congratulations on little Brigham!!
