You have to be careful when you invite Lindsay Ann over to help--she gets kind of crazy. Like asking Timothy to teach us how to mud dry wall after we'd finished sanding Miriam's room (for hopefully the last time). I had no grand ambitions to learn how to mud dry wall. And yet, I soon found myself with a trowel in hand (or mud knife or metal thingy or whatever you call them).
It wasn't that bad. The verdict is still out, though, on whether we saved Timothy time or added to the sanding time. Timothy hasn't examined our work yet. Since I'm his number two sander (he's the number one sander), I am really hoping I didn't add to my own workload as well.
And thank you, Polly, for telling me to take Emeline to the doctor. She has a bad ear infection. Fortunately, the terrible wheezing when she was breathing was caused by congestion and isn't a problem with her lungs.
And thank you, Lindsay Ann, for doing my dishes and mopping my floor and watching Cowen and Miriam while I was at the doctors with Emeline. You really are a saint. Contrary to Lindsay Ann's opinion--I don't think feeding her white chili and green beans really makes it up to her. Despite her eating most of the green beans herself.
