Here's a close-up of the second major obstacle Jesus overcame to allow us to return to our heavenly parents.
Here's a close-up of our family pondering how we can get past the HUGE barrier of sin to reunite with our heavenly parents. What was extra clever about this lesson is that Timothy tucked the pictures of the Savior inside the binders and only pulled them out when he got to that part. Clever, clever.
I'm sure you figured out that the lesson was about the atonement and crucifixtion/resurrection and how the Savior overcame sin and death for us.
Timothy was in charge of the Family Home Evening lesson tonight. As always, his lesson was brilliant, memorable, and short enough to keep the kids' interest.
The dollhouse is the premortal world where we lived with Heavenly Father before coming to earth. The globe is earth. The family sitting on the ground (the dolls) is us, the Young family, trying to get back to our Heavenly Father. Clearly, sin and death are in the way.
Timothy also made puff wheat squares for the FHE treat. I love it when he gets so desperate for a treat that he actually cooks. I love it when he asks me things like, "So, do we have any butter?" while casually hiding the recipe behind his back. As though I'm not going to figure out that he's cooking.
We finally got the decorations up in Eli's room. They are familiar to those of you who remember Cowen's room. The only new things are the bumper pad I made and the curtains.
I think it is pretty cute.

That Timothy needs to SELL his FHE ideas.....AMAZING! So fun!
His room turned out just adorable! Love the bumper and the curtains you made. :)
