Carpet

The carpet installer came this morning. We were all excited to have carpet by about 3:00 pm. Ahem. It will be Monday by 3:00 pm. Apparently our concrete is super-duty concrete. In fact, I'm pretty sure our concrete could wipe out any of your concrete without breaking a sweat. Or something. In other words--the nails refuse to enter the concrete and the tack strips have to be glued on. The glue takes three days to dry.

When Timothy came home for lunch and heard the news he thought for a few seconds and said, "So, we're spending the weekend at your parents'?"

Great minds think alike.

We'll just consider this a birthday present for Cowen (his birthday is Sunday)--he can spend the weekend with the horses. Happy 4 years to you, Little Buddy.

Your parents are so lucky to have you living so close.

I have never heard of such tuff concrete. My dad used a gun (gun powder had to be used ) to put nails through the concrete of ours. I thought THAT was bad.

Positive to yours: Looks like even an earthquake couldn't huff and puff to blow your house down. Well, at least the basement anyway. : D

Have a great weekend at Grandpa and Grandma's Cowen! HAppy HapPy BirTHdAy!!!
