Eli's Blessing Day

These pictures aren't in order of events, but they do provide a nice overview of yesterday. Everyone met at my church at 11:00 for Sacrament Meeting and the blessing itself. Timothy did a lovely job. He even worked in "amiable." I fervently hope so!

Then we went to Megan's as her house is large enough for everyone to fit AND she has a big TV for Superbowl watching. When we planned the blessing, we had no idea it was superbowl Sunday. Wyatt pointed it out to us later.

After lunch, there was some good dancing.

Lots of castle playing. Who isn't in love with Shleik toys? I'm pretty sure I slaughtered that spelling.

Lindsay Ann kept Wyatt on task.

Lindsay sat around being annoyed because of all the Billy jokes. Even my father-in-law joined in once he caught on to the theme.

The men in my life.

Danica taking pictures. Love her outfit!

Here you go--all you who complain that I don't post pics of myself.

My husband doesn't much like having his picture taken, apparently.

This next sequence of pictures is self-explanatory for all my siblings. This first picture is when I said, "Smile."

This is a typical reaction of my dad's to that word.

(Notice how massive his hands are--one of the things I love most about my Dad.)

Then Mom caught on that Dad was ruining the pictures. She told him to "smarten up" and this was the result.

This was after Mom pinched him.

Other than the buggy eyes, Dad looks almost normal. Too bad Mom's eyes are closed. That's the way of it.

Tim's parents were slightly more cooperative. Although I did tell Kenny to smile. Hmm.

Eli's a hit with the other grandkids. That's Cassidy holding him.

Eli with his great-grandma Marcielle (Tim's mom's mom).

And this is what happens when you try to get four children to look at the camera and smile at the same time.

It just plain doesn't happen.

What a wonderful day you had. Sorry we didn't make it. A bit of a misunderstanding. Quite funny actually, especially if you know the Barney clan. See you tomorrow.

Ahhhh, looks so fun. So sad I wasn't there. Ask Megan to move her house closer to me next time.

You look very cute in black, and I never expect that for some reason.

That was a fun post!

I noticed that even Eli had something to say in those pics with your mom and dad. : D

VERY cute kids of yours in the end photos. Did you make the girls their dresses??
