I've been dithering about how to keep my family's memories: continue a family photo album, just make cds, print a blog book. I really liked the idea of a blog book because then I wouldn't have to label pictures, put them in photo covers, worry about them getting lost--all those things that drive a person nuts about photos.
I tried formatting my blog book with two different companies and one was terribly difficult and counter-intuitive and annoying. The second one was remarkably easy.
I got my blog book in the mail today and it is AWESOME!! The quality is fantastic and the price was reasonable. If you are interested in anything like that I suggest you give them a try. Go to: sharedbook.com.
The only downside is that they have a 350 picture limit so I have to print a book every six-nine months (if I continue this level of picture posting) instead of every year. Still--I am pretty thrilled with how it turned out. All of a sudden, I have a really well kept journal for the past year when that hasn't happened . . . ever.

Oh thank you thank you thank you! I needed to get a decent real life report from someone before I got brave enough to do that.
I am going to give them a try.
Thanks!
