A few funny stories about my kids. First, today I glanced out the window as I was walking through the kitchen and saw Miriam kick Cowen. Then she hopped around holding onto her toes for the next three minutes. Hilarious. I stood there and laughed. I'm pretty sure that's the appropriate response when you see your children engaged in violence one toward another.
Story number two: Yesterday Emeline took off her clothes and diaper (like she does every day--argh!!) and pooed on the floor. When I saw her poopy bum I cleaned her up than smacked her bottom as a little reminder not to take off her diaper. She, of course, wailed like I'd killed her during the 30 seconds it took her to walk from Eli's room to the stairs. Once she hit the stairs she stopped crying and called down to Miriam and Cowen in a chirpy, perky voice, "I in trouble, guys!"
Last story: I was finishing the girls' quilts a little while ago so there was a lot of batting lying around. Miriam collected a lot of the little pieces and was playing with them. I was listening to her while she played her little game and at one point she said, "This is my niece, Jessica. She's just a bit of fuzz, but she is beautiful." Ha ha. Miriam is always good for a chuckle.
In other news, I spent WAY too much time fixing up the paint job yesterday. I had the last golden wall all done when I failed to notice Emeline playing in the white paint I was using to fix some spots until Miriam alerted me. Emeline managed to get white paint all over one section of the golden wall and the carpet. Grr. So I had to fix that. The other major mistake I made was failing to push the tape down hard enough. Darned textured walls. Who thought of those anyway?? I am not a fan. So there were numerous places that the paint went through. Last night I spent several hours touching up with a little foam craft brush. It looks good though. I have one more color left and then I'm done. YEAH!! It looks good. And no, Kayli, I'm not putting pictures in this post. Maybe later today when the kids are in bed. I really have to go get dressed now--and why is Eli crying?? Go back to sleep, boy.

Your kids are so funny. Cute!
Apparently there is some kind of sylicone stuff that you paint over the tape line really quick and then it won't bleed through and the part not painted over just lifts off with the tape. Thank you HGTV.
And yes I am going to Ireland for sure now and you need to see my St Patricks video on my blog. Go now. And leave a comment so I know you have been there. You non-commenter.
How much hair does he have? This makes a difference (for me). YOu can wash his hair with t-gel shampoo by Neutrogena, or coat his head in mineral oil and then let is sit and scrub it off and then good luck washing it out of his hair- same treatment with hydrocortisone cream.
I often call it cradel crap by accident.
