Lunch

I made my first rye bread yesterday and today we had pastrami and swiss on rye sandwiches for lunch with asparagus on the side.

Oh my. I love food. I really, really, really love food. I think this is going to have to be our standard Sunday fare. Fast and incredibly delicious. Yum and yum and yum again.

However--my rye bread was super good but I am trying to replicate the rye bread at Shlotsky's Deli and it wasn't anything like it. Any ideas??

Sorry, no ideas for you since I am not crazy about rye bread. We lost our closest Schlotzky's, though, and I am sad because I loved their original turkey! The closest one is about an hour away now. :( Hope you all are well! :)

SOunds delicious!! I love pastrami sandwiches on rye bread. That is funny that you were trying a new bread recipe Jared wants me to find a recipe for dark/black bread that is served at Outback Steak house - so I have been looking but haven't got up the courage to try a new bread recipe yet. HAVE YOU FOUND THOSE BOOKS FOR ME YET?????
