Pictures

I finally gave up on waiting for the resurrection of the mac--as the techies at Weber declared it a hardware issue and had it sent back to Dad's office. Sad, sad, sad. Timothy's hooking up the PC his old firm gave him--so we'll see what's on that and how it does. Right now I'm on the laptop. I try to pretend I'm not attached to my computer but Timothy called me an addict last night and, well, it was hard to refute. He was annoyed that I wanted the laptop the same time he did (okay, I was annoyed). Once you become a two-computer family there is just no going back.

So, I made myself load pictures onto the laptop and figure I'll have to load them to Walgreens ASAP so I know where all my pictures are (the ones that aren't trapped on the mac-sigh).

The first picture is Eli. He's huge and beautiful. He also has a nasty, nasty cold. So many boogers in one tiny little nose. I've had to use the booger-snatcher on him way too often the past few days. His eyes are also glued shut from eye mucus every time he wakes up. Fortunately, no fever or sounds of lung congestion (that I can hear), so I'm sure he'll perk up in a day or two.

This is the entertainment center that I disliked mightily because it was too bulky. Far too bulky for my tastes. It now resides in the home of a stranger who saw Timothy's ad in the ksl.com free stuff section and came and hauled it away. Thank you, Stranger.

I shouldn't say anything unkind about the thing because it served us well and met our needs in our various apartments. Still--I'm glad it's gone.

That is the IKEA armoire thingy that we bought the first winter we lived in this house because there is no entry way and thus, no coat closet. I was also against the living room wall--right beside the bulky entertainment center.

It has been relegated to Eli's room. YEAH! It fits into Eli's room because when we put up the two Billy Bookcases, we were able to get rid of three bookcases--one from Eli's room and two from my bedroom. Oh yeah, the bookcases Timothy hung on the wall downstairs also was a major factor in being able to get rid of the bedroom bookcases.

Now the only bookcases in a bedroom are the two in Eli's room. Slowly but surely we're getting rid of bookcases in bedrooms.
Here's what my living room/dining room wall used to look like.

Here's the color it is now. Valspar "almond puff" if you want to design a room with it online. Fun times at valspar.com.

A little sidenote--do any of the rest of you shop online with a buddy over the phone? My sister Kami and I spent a whole evening once window shopping at anthropologie and macys together, over the phone, online. It is one of my new favorite hobbies. Kami and I also spent some time on valspar.com together, playing around with paint colors. I've spent some time window shopping with my buddy Becky for curtain material. Amazing how much fun the internet can be!! (This last paragraph didn't really help in my campaign to convince my hubby I'm not an computer addict.) Still, do any of the rest of you people do it??

This is the wall behind the piano. I need to take a picture of it with the pictures of the kids hanging on the wall in my bargain Target frames that I love. Though I'll always fondly remember the lime green and orange frames.

I told Kayli I got an awesome haircut and she wanted some pictures. Then she accused me of NEVER posting pictures of myself.

Ha--I just proved you wrong.

My hair rocks. To bad I forgot to take off my glasses. Too bad my face is still pudgy and post-partum.

Oh well--I have a lime shirt. That pretty much makes the picture awesome.

This picture is totally frivolous. My hair didn't go as well that day, so I can't really count this as a hair picture. However, that's what it was intended to be.

Then I noticed how cool my golden wall looked with my orange hair and new favorite (and favorite new) green shirt and I had to take about fifty million pics. I love digital cameras. These are the best two--according to Timothy.

I'm pretty sure I picked the most stellar wall color ever.

This is the skirt I made Emeline. It was extrememly easy. I used the tutorial Kayli used to make a skirt for Hazel.

The only hard part?? Sizing. It was supposed to be for Miriam.

And the skirt I'm making for Miriam?? It is being donated to an older cousin. Grr.

How about getting rid of that nice entertainment center? LOL! Seriously though....I thought it was VERY nice! I would have taken it off your hands.

Great post! Loved it! So sorry about your computer issues. Hope you can recover the lost photos.

P.S. My verification word is "gratess". LOL! Very appropriate for this post.

I LOVE THE COLOR OF YOUR WALL!!! Mind you I would still never paint my walls anything other than a light beige or off white if not white, but it's really stellar. SOO perfect for you. And you're right, those photos did look good. I love your hair. You look beautiful!!
