The kids weren't terrible at the doc--except that when the nurse gave them crayons, Emeline promptly started coloring on the wall and Miriam started coloring the floor. What?? Emeline I understand, but Miriam's choice was unexpected. And annoying.
Overall, though, the kids were pretty good at the doctor. Eli wasn't very happy, but he did get shots and has an ear infection. When we were through at the doctor I drove to Maceys and put Eli in his little carrier, strapped him on me, put the other kids in the cart and we made our way to the pharmacy. They were out of the medicine I needed. That's never happened to me before. I was annoyed, but what can you do? I finished my grocery shopping, loaded the kids back into the van and drove to Smiths. I unloaded them all and we made our way to the pharmacy where I was informed that they didn't have the medicine I needed. Grr.
I loaded the children back into the van and drove to Burger King and then back to Maceys where I parked illegally and threatened the children with all sorts of mayhem if they moved a muscle and ran the prescription to the pharmacy. Yes, I left my children unattended in the vehicle. That sort of parenting behavior drives my hubby nuts, but I'd had it with the load/unload procedure for the day. Then we drove home. I gave the kids their food and fed Eli (who'd been screaming for a good 20 minutes), gave Timothy my hamburger when he came home for lunch and then put everyone to bed. Ahh. Blessed silence.
When I had a moment to sit down I ate the leftover chicken curry (yum yum) and checked my email. Then I spent two hours doing dishes, made the FHE treat, and made bread. And now--now I'm blogging. When I'm done with that I'll sweep, mop, put the bread into loaves, fold laundry, and let the children ride bikes outside.
Do you know what's keeping me going and feeling pretty okay about life right now?
RONDO
He'll come swooping in about 5:30 tonight to save the day. Hallellujah. Good thing the hero always has to kiss the damsel in distress!!!

HA! I was totally thinking the same as Lindsay.
I totally hear you too on the leaving the kids in the car for just a few minutes....sheesh!! Sounds like that prescription as rare as the rarest of diamonds!!
Hope you were able to get all that you needed and that Eli feels MUCH better soon!

It's a good thing kids are so darn cute or else... well, I don't think I could keep them around.
And its a darn good thing you have Rondo.
