Random collection of pics

The infamous skirt. The problem with my new no sewing vow is how MUCH Miriam loves her new skirt. She was a girl destined to wear skirts every day of her life and nightgowns every night. She danced all day and then carefully folded it up to wear again tomorrow.

The second problem with my new sewing vow is that Kayli emailed me a blog address with MEASUREMENTS. Most of my issues with this skirt came from not having any idea how to figure out the measurements and now that I know how to do it . . . well, it might not be so bad next time.

Besides, on another blog Kayli sent me to, the mom made two adorable skirts out of old pillow cases and when I saw them I immediately thought of one of my pillowcases and how fabulous it would be as a skirt for Miriam.

And that, my friends, is the problem with sewing. I know it will turn out cute so I convince myself I can do it. And then the screaming unpicking unpleasantness begins. But that pillow case skirt is calling Miriam's name and blast it, I can hear it.

Where's Waldo? Ahem, I mean where's Eli?

The curtain fabric. I'm pretty much in love with it. Totally 70s green, but funky and modern.

My curtain rods.

Miriam lives here. How did she get the orange cup to levitate? I'm still not sure about that one. You should have heard her when she was talking to the potato. That's one dramatic spud.

Emeline tires of her paparazzi.

Can anyone say, "Daddy's favorite?"

Yes, I'm jealous.

He didn't like the barbie. Can't blame him.

Not a great picture but look at that beautiful mouth. What a darling. Someday I'll get him to look at the camera.

As a small sidenote--Timothy noticed the other day that Eli can now hold himself up and look around when he's laying on his belly. I reminded him that when Cowen was that age (just turning four months), he was already rolling on the floor to get places. With intent. He would see something he wanted and he would roll to get it. At five months he army-crawled, and at six he was crawling. Cowen is an extremely physical dude. Just the other day he was trying to lift Miriam up. Timothy looked over at me and said, "Man, he's brawny." Indeed. Maybe he'll be freakishly strong like Grandpa Jack. We'll see.

This post makes me think, 1. I like it when Andrea posts pictures.
2. Beards look good on men.
3. How could you and I ever be unhappy when we're surrounded by so much red-headedness.
4. I need to come visit to take some really sensational pictures of Eli.

Ha ha, I just read #2 of my comment and thought ...but they're pretty scary looking on women.

Ha HA!!! I'm hilarious.

LOL! To Kayli's comment on beards. SO funny.

Your sewing skills amaze me! The skirt is absolutely adorable! I would be spinning around in it too. Except having a baby brother on the floor so close to me would make me nervous doing that.

P.S. I am coveting your piano and bench. Very nice!
