Real quick because I need to get in bed.
1) Miriam actually picked up a ball that was hit to her and threw it to first base!! WAHOO!!!
2) The other day Cowen and I were chatting about a book that he's been carrying around called The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley. I told him the basic premise of the story and that he'd love it when he's older and he's pretty passionately convinced I'm right. He loves it. He was showing me the cover for the umpteenth time and said fervently, "I'm the luckiest kid! I have a book!!" Put a smile on my face!
3) When we went to Provo on Saturday, we ate at Burger King. We bought Cowen and Emeline a milkshake so we could punish Miriam by not getting her one. (Same old story--she ran off at the temple. I never know where that child is.) Anyhoo, the point of the story isn't Miriam. The point of the story is that Emeline did a great job eating the milkshake without getting it all over her clothes. Timothy was helping her down from the booster and oohed and aahed over her cleanliness. Then he said, "I always knew you could achieve greatness."
4) Go to your library and get this book: Hairdo! What We Do and Did to Our Hair by Ruth Freeman Swain. Read it with your kids. Love it. People do some crazy things to their hair.

No.1 and No. 3.....is that the same child? : D Jks.
Good for her for catching the ball and throwing to the base. I was catcher at her age and I always felt SO pressured.. I don't think I ever caught a ball. So good for her!
