Carnival Attractions--Face Painting

Dad is often given large quantities of books for evaluation. His offspring always benefit from the bounty. In this case, we made it into a carnival attraction. All the kids could choose six or so books from the book-nook, manned by Lindsay. Along with the book-nook, I had a booth called "Test Your Knowledge." In the carnival invites I told everyone to read four books so they could answer questions from those books and win prizes. The prizes were, of course, books. There was a WHOLE LOT OF CHEATING that went on so people could win the books they wanted--but that was only to be expected. It made me happy that books figured so prominently in the reunion. It was almost like I planned it. :)

Kami and Lindsay Ann ran the FACE PAINTING booth. They were amazing. Everyone loved it. Lindsay Ann with Miriam.

I'm pretty sure she's one of those pirates who don't do anything.
