Reunion pics--KOOB

After splashing around in a lake all day, we played one of my favorite lawn games: KOOB. If you haven't ever heard of it--google it. Koob means block in some Scandinavian language (koob is an old Viking game) and I'm pretty sure this game is where the saying, "I'll knock your block off" comes from.

I drew names out of a hat for teams as we needed three to a team, so couples was out. Derek, Wyatt, and Lindsay Ann's team won. Ethan and Megan and I came in a close second.

The game requires you to knock over the opposing team's blocks before they knock over yours. Trickier than it sounds, actually, and very, very, very fun.

I bought one koob set and then rented the other two from Ogden City Rec. The adult age group loved it. The older grandkid age group loved it. The younger age set--not so much.

Little Megan and Jethro won the older kids' competition. They were stellar.

The only problem is that now whenever Mom and Dad feel like some koob they mutter to us about not leaving our set with them. Hey guys, get your own koob.

LOL! What a funny name. We're going to have to check this out ourselves. Looks fun.
