Emeline loves the color yellow with a strange fervor and she loves duckies. I wasn't at all surprised when she requested a yellow duck cake for her birthday.
Grandma Young also gave Emeline puppies in a little carrier. Timothy and I talked about exchanging our gift (Grandma Young gave Emeline her present when she took her on a birthday date Tuesday night), but Emeline loved the puppies and carrier so much -- as did her siblings -- that we thought it wouldn't hurt to have another one. It was a huge hit.
Emeline saw the wheels and started squealing, "It's my stroller!" long before she got all the paper off. Another big hit.
I thought Timothy was looking pretty hot tonight -- even without a beard :( -- so I had to snap a picture. (PS--Timothy was sitting beside me and said I should say he was looking "perky." What a weirdo).
Cowen loved the puppy packaging. He had to run off and find his Star Wars blaster with which to attack his father. Appropriate, really.
Eli wanted to touch everything but was foiled at every turn. He was persistent, though. Really, despite the downer of Timothy's parents calling and saying they were sick and we couldn't have the party with them at their house--it still turned out to be a lovely birthday.
Happy 3rd Birthday, Emeline!! We love you!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Awesome Cake!
P.S. I am so sad that the camera didn't pan over to your lovely face in the broadcasting last night. However, just had to tell you that your choir was AWESOME!
