We haven't done any school since Wednesday's exciting shield and spear day. I had grand intentions. I even wrote down everything we were going to do. But then, like everyone else in the nation, my children (all but Eli--here's keeping our fingers crossed) came down with the flu. But not me. So not me or Eli, but everyone else. It wasn't that bad with Miriam and Cowen but holy cow Emeline can be a loud, whiny sick person. Unfortunately, while Miriam and Cowen seem to be almost back to health, Emeline is still sickly and not eating and feverish. I'm hoping tonight she'll sleep a little better and she'll turn the corner.Eli is getting around these days. And you know what that means--mischief. Mischief left and right and center. In the above and below photo he got his hands on a piece of a clay pot that Miriam made for school. I think this might be why no-bake clay doesn't cost as much as bake clay. Then again, I haven't seen anyone eat bake clay to know whether or not it responds in a similar fashion.
Yes, it is foolishness to have the bread in the bottom drawer. I have seen the error of my way--and it has one heck of a cute grin.
