As many of you recall, January is a crazy month for my family. We have Ethan's birthday on the 13th, mine on the 16th, Mom's on the 19th, Wyatt's and Dad's on the 30th, and then Megan's Feb. 4. This year we even sang to Lindsay (Feb. 19--I think). Every year we have one big birthday party for all the birthday people. Today was this year's party, and it was a good one.
Megan and Jared and family and Wyatt's family and my family, sans Timothy who had to work, and Lindsay and Sterling and Marlo (Sterling's brother) and Ethan and Kortney, were all there. Good times were had by all but I think Cowen was the happiest because Myles was there to go sledding with him. Also, I need to invest in some legos. Miriam and Cowen played with them (quietly!!!) for at least 90 minutes. The problem is always will they play with them at their own house. Still, the legos amused them while the adults played pyschiatrist.
My favorite--when Jared was the pyschiatrist and our problem was we all thought we were Jared so we gave Marlo and Sterling a crash course on Jared: he's an air traffic controller, he has five kids, his wife is preggo, he's the goat-whisperer. But then after one of the first few questions the Jazz (bball) came up somehow and we never left the subject. Questions like these were very challenging: "So, Andrea, who is your favorite player on the Jazz?" Me: "The black guy." Uh--I don't know even one name let alone Jared's favorite. Wyatt helped me out by mouthing the answer to me. Me in a confused voice, "Williams?" Vigorous nodding from Wyatt. Me, with utmost confidence, "Totally Williams." And the funniest part is he actually figured it out just by asking questions about the Jazz!! Hilarious.
My other favorite part--when I gave Mom 100 bread bags for her birthday. You just have to know her to truly appreciate that one.
Tomorrow I have to do some major straightening/cleaning of the house, plus do some serious schooling to get ready for Wednesday at Julie's house, and get up early to exercise--so I'm off to bed to rest my red head.

Thus far Coen and Beckett happy in ther respective places. But if COen sees me helping Joseph sit with his new class I have to sit by him too before I leave.
