One of those parenting days

I was first called out of Relief Society to take care of Miriam who was having some sort of break-down. She's testing the boundaries with her new teachers. I was called out a second time for her and had to go sit with her in her classroom. This to will pass.

I gave up returning to Relief Society when Cowen's teacher brought me Cowen because he was "disrupting the whole class." The boy is a wildman. I know this. But I'm worried because his teacher is this really, really, really elderly lady who is very tiny and very frail and who recently had a stroke and has been even weaker and frailer since then. She's been in the same calling for about thirty years because she says if she's released she'll stop coming to church. I'm afraid that Cowen, in all his physical boyness, will hurt her. Especially after the biting his teacher episode (last year's teacher). What to do, what to do. All of our numerous talks about being a gentleman and helping his teacher and being good are hard for him to remember when he gets in his class of all boys, except one poor lone girl. Worrisome. Definitely worrisome.

So I'm giving up parenting for today. I'm going to eat leftover bologna gravy and bury my nose in a book and take deep breaths and worry about it tomorrow. For tomorrow is another day, with lots of mistakes waiting for me to make.

Awww......I think you said it best, when you said, "This too shall pass." It will. Trust me. Hugs.
