I love this quilt.
I recognize that the etsy lady made it for an American Girl doll and if I bought it, it would not stretch across one of my daughter's beds. However, can't you just imagine two of these gorgeous quilts in a twin sizes on my daughter's beds?? I can. I really can.
I have never seen fabric to which I felt such an instant "that is perfect" connection before. It's the new Nicey Jane line from Heather Bailey. You should see the dresses she's made out of it on her website. Charming. I love them.
And curtains in the dots. And the DI vintage ballerina picture in a light green frame over Miriam's refinished (the refinishing is part of the daydream) white bed. And two vintage plaques like these ones over Emeline's white bed with the unpainted protective side removed.
It would be a beautiful thing.
The nice etsy lady said she'd make them for me for $230 each. Gulp. To make them myself including machine quilting would cost $150. I think the $ difference would be worth it to not have to do it myself. Fabric hates me.
I'm thinking selling plasma can't be all bad. Right? Maybe?? How much blood would I have to sell to cover it? Hmm.
(Not completely sure the dots is the right backing/curtains. I'm going for very young here. Solid a better choice? Please advise.)
PS: Don't worry all of you who know I spent my life savings on a quilt for my room. I wouldn't actually buy the quilts until the money was in hand from either selling my book (how's that coming, Becky?) or selling blood. No crazy money spending from this red-head. I just got Timothy's school bill. Sigh.
