The above picture just makes me laugh because I was always a spagetti-a-holic when I was little and Miriam loves it just as much. No sauce beats my mother's recipe and there's no way to keep clean when you're slurping.
I almost never allow the small people to cook with me but Eli was clinging to my leg and whimpering and Emeline was begging and the oldest two were nowhere in sight--so I caved. This is the official documentation of Eli's first time cooking, and the first (and only) time he was allowed to sit on the counter.
Yes, they picked in constantly. Timothy put the camera away before Eli tasted a choco chip and grabbed as many as he could fit in two chubby hands right after I'd poured in the whole bag. It was hilarious. I gave him a choco chip, he tasted it, and a second later both hands swooped into the bowl. He's a smart one.
Doing my homework--putting together an engineering unit, of all things. Simple machines, here we come!
