Books to Read Over and Over

My sister Kayli posted about her favorite books to read over and over again. It is a stellar list. Read everything on it immediately. You can read it here. I, of course, was distracted from my many more pressing duties and felt the urge to write my own list. Immediately. I love rereading books, so I often revisit my favorites. Here's my favs to reread (not to be confused with my favorite books--some books don't lend themselves well to rereading, like Age of Innocence, for example):

1) Son of the Shadows by Juliet Marillier

2) Mystic and Rider by Sharon Shinn

3) The King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner (I pick up all of hers numerous times a year)

4) The Hollow Kingdom by Clare B. Dunkle

5) Quest for a Maid by Frances Mary Hendry (I tried to avoid repeats with Kayli but this book is the best--really)

6) The Road Home by Ellen Emerson White (about a nurse during the Vietnam War--lots of language and alcohol abuse--you've been warned)

7) Dave's Song by Robert McKay (still haven't figured out why I like it so much--chickens feature heavily, after all)

8) Illusion by Paula Volsky (my favorite book ever)

9) A Solitary Blue by Cynthia Voigt

10) all Louis L'Amours and Mrs. Pollifax books

So many more I'd love to add because, like I said, I reread books that I like. But, those are the ones I pick up the most. You should all go read them--immediately.

I'm going to go cry now because I won't have time to read for the next twenty years.

I was just thinking I need some good- non heavy- books to read I have been in a little of a bad book rut- thanks for the list. You know I would never really pick up a bunch of fantasy books if you didn't tell me to.
