In better news, Miriam's dance teacher overheard me giving Miriam a goodbye kiss and "be good!" instruction. Her teacher said, "Miriam's always a model student. She's very well-behaved."
WHO KNEW??????????
I'm very, very glad to hear it.
Dad would say that people will say anything if you pay them enough. I didn't pay her. Really.

Also funny to me was Cowen whining the whole first day of school that we weren't doing school yet. He whined during devotional and music time and teeth time (our health/manners unit) and during lunch and read with Mom time. Then, when I broke out the math books, he turned all smiley and happy and said, "We're finally doing school!" I started him in a first grade math curriculum because he finished all of kindergarten last year (he's five and in kindergarten this year). When he flipped through his math binder for the first time he said, "This is way too easy." Hmm. Glad you're confident. Glad you love math. Weirdo.
