How Do I Love Thee

There are many reasons to love Timothy. Here's one:

On Sunday, Timothy suddenly stood up and announced, "I feel like reciting a limerick." Then he searched the internet for good limericks and spent the next twenty minutes reading (he's a very emotive reader) various bad limericks.

It was random. It was strange. It was really fun.

Sunday, overall, was a great day. After church we really got into the "resting" thing. I sat on the couch and read two Louis L'Amour books while Timothy made sandwiches for the kids. Timothy and I ate fresh salsa and fudge. Lovely day.

Saturday we went on a four hour hike to a waterfall. It was a beautiful hike. I was very tired by the end. I also got the bathroom cleaned and the kitchen floor mopped while Timothy did the harder job of getting Miriam and Cowen to do their Saturday's work. It might have been challenging, but Timothy managed it so by the end of the day everything was picked up, vacuumed and dusted. It was lovely. (Not for long--we do have four small children, but it was lovely for a few hours.)

Monday, we got a lot of math/piano done in the morning before Kami and Mom arrived. Mom dropped off peaches for me and Kami, tried to fix Emeline's hair, and cut two inches off Miriam's hair. After everyone left, I spent the rest of the day bottling peaches and this morning I had a HARD time getting out of bed. Man, everything is exhausting these days and I'm only 17 weeks along. Wimpy. (Derek made me feel better--he said Brooke thinks any time of day is a great time for a nap. Amen, Brooke. Amen. Brooke is due a week or so ahead of me with their sixth.)

Beckie took the kids (except Eli) on an outing Monday night, so I was able to get the last cannerful done in peace. Another good day. My store room is almost ready for the winter. This year I did peaches, pears, green beans, and tomatoes. Not in the quantities of some master Mormon mothers--but I tested the waters. This week I'll make a ton of peach jam and restock my freezer. I still need flour but I placed my order and it is being milled for me at a local mill as we speak.

Now I must go fortify myself for a trip to Walmart. Dislike taking all the kids to that store. Need the cheap diapers.

Have a day.

Sigh- I went to the dollar store to buy the little bug kits but they didn't have them anymore- I was sad and Coen thought he should pick out cheap plastic toys for all your kids but umm I said no.
