The cutest boy in the world with his new haircut. I cut it shorter than I intended. Then I cried a little. He looked so big and grown up. It will grow back, though. I don't think I can force Eli to stop growing up, however. Darn it.
My dear friend Polly sends my children these awesome little gift packages every now and again. What she made this time was SO AWESOME that I had to post about it. She made "pencils" for all my kids as a back-to-school treat. The tip of the pencil is a hershey's kiss, and the body and eraser is a package of rolos. Loved it!!!
I have no idea what is on her head or why she is wearing Cowen's clothes. The girl baffles me. So explain how she can still look elfish while also looking a little like Rambo. Strange.

I really need a friend nearby- I just want to be with some one who knows me and loves me. Not someone I feel like we only hang out because they have little kids too or because I feel like I need to be fellowshipping.
Okay I am done whining. sigh.
Pack up the kids and run away to CA for a week. Our weather should be cool soon.
And Alma and I are having the same 10 year debate. We were thinking that we were going to do the railroad trip across Canada. And see Lake Louise and Banff and all that stuff- in the fall for color. But after this summer Alma wants to go back to Europe. Neither one of us really want to do the beach thing- but I have been wanting to go to Costa Rica. Or we may just go to rays condo in Porto Vuyarta (I have no idea how to spell that). It was much easier when I thought the decision was made- but now it is up in the air again.

I hope your kids feel a little of the love I send with those packages. There are just so many kids growing up far away that I miss seeing. So I send out 24 packages several times a year. Still thinking about Halloweens. sigh I am already so over scheduled for the fall. Ick.
I want to call so I can talk about the lecture series I am doing for RS. Titled Great Americans. In the spring or next fall it will be Religions of the World and we are inviting ministers and rabbis to come and teach us about their religion.
