Christmas Magic

Feel free to blame the quantity of pics and length of this post on Kayli.

She asked for it.

I mean, really she did. She called me up from Switzerland and asked to see pics of my Christmas tree.

Timothy and I both believe it is the prettiest/most outstanding tree we've had in our married life.

A lot of that has to do with the fact that I retired the glass balls (glass+children=blood) and bought a bunch of the most amazingly awesome tree decorations ever last year.

Things like random purple leaf-things.

And random gold leaf-things.

Pink glittery flowers and red sprouters.

I call the thing in the pic below a "sprouter." I have no idea what they are actually called or what, in fact, they are or for what purpose they were created.

I just know I was destined to a have a tree covered in the things. In several colors.

It looks better in real life--but you get the idea.

We let the children decorate, and then Timothy redoes it all after they go to bed. Best of both worlds, I think.

Just documenting what I was doing while Timothy decorated the tree. Notice the stack of books for the fish unit we started today. The construction paper for the advent chain. The calendar to help with the advent chain. The dark chocolate Hagen Daaz ice cream that sustained me through my efforts.

My completed advent chain. The children get to take the first one off tomorrow. They are SO excited. So am I!!

Timothy stringing lights. He's a good man.

Timothy took Miriam on their traditional Nutcracker date a little earlier than normal this year. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, in fact. It was good timing in that our December is already packed. They had a great time. (Well, Timothy said he managed to stay awake--so I took that to mean it was a great time.)

We just wrapped up our bird unit by making a bird feeder. Actually, I made pie. Timothy and the children made a bird feeder.

She's just so lovely. Sometimes it amazes me that I produced a child that looks so much like Timothy. What a beauty.

We decorated the house a few weeks before Thanksgiving, but were unable to get a tree until after. Apparently the tree sellers don't know about the proper time table for decorating for Christmas.

Anyway, we've loved having the stockings up and the Nativitys available.

Merry Christmas everybody!

Oh, I love it!! So pretty! It makes me want to fix mine since the kids destroyed it. Umm, I've been unable to login into my blogger account for several days now. I don't really understand why, but it has to do with the fact that I cancelled my last email address--even though it was under my gmail account--I don't know, but I want to cry.
