Baby Names

My two favorites are Oscar John or Kimball John.  Tim says that Kimball sounds too feminine.  Hasn't he read Kim by Rudyard Kipling????

Lindsay and Sterling managed to come up with a name for their baby.  Kayli and I, sadly, will never manage it.

This is getting depressing.

Lol. We have a nephew named Kimball. He's as far removed from being feminine as you can get! Never heard something thinking that before. I laughed to hard!

Sorry. I know. Your plight with baby names it not funny at all. I repent. ; ) Hope you are able to find a name you both like a lot soon! Can't wait to "meet" the newest member!

My vote would be for Oscar John. I do like the name Oscar. I would have to agree with Tim though, Kimball sounds feminine. Maybe it's because I have a girl that's Kendall. But I do know some little girls named Kimball and Campbell.

Congratulations on your exciting news! I have not heard Kimball as a girl name nor do I think it feminine. I was almost Hillary after a male ancestor. Beverly, Shirley, Ashley, Hillary, Leslie, etc., all boy names that became girl names. Now we think of them as "older lady" names (sorry if some found that offensive, I only mean that there were some brave ladies that named their girls "boy names" a while ago). Girls can easily take on masculine names. Aaron and I would really like Lauren Eugene after a couple of my ancestors and Lauren was always a boy name that I liked growing up. Alas it has gone girl. And once a name goes girl...it is too difficult to turn the tide. Best of luck and I'm glad I checked in! ~Rita Law
