Obstetrical Update

This is what I'll be eating tonight: it is food to fortify.  I went to my OB appointment today and surprise, surprise, the baby is breech.  Why not?  Why would things go smoothly for me in reproduction when it never has in the past?  But breech is new.  I figured something was wrong just because the baby wasn't dropping and a head up in your ribs feels different from a baby bottom up in your ribs.  At least my instincts are good.

So . . . lots of prayers and well-wishes for tomorrow's version would be great.  And for those of you who worry; yes, a version after two c-sections can be risky but my OB said she wasn't going to try too hard.  And yes, baby is only 36 weeks and generally versions aren't done until 37 weeks, but with my history of early babies my OB felt the risk of trying the version at 36 weeks outweighed the risk of my water breaking early thereby preventing a version attempt at all.

I'm  feeling hopeful because the baby moves around so much that he can't be too squished in there.

So again--send me some good karma.  And/or chocolate.  :)
