Some funny things

We finished listening to The Black Cauldron on cd (in fact, I found an excuse to drive to Mom's so we could listen to it--thank you, Emeline, for needing a haircut so desperately!!) the other day.  At the end the reader said, "I hope you have enjoyed this production of Lloyd Alexander's The Black Cauldron."

Eli yelled from the back of the van, "WE DID ENJOY IT!!  It was AWESOME!!!"  Brought tears to my eyes.  I love it when my children love my favorite books.

Emeline was chatting with me the other day about cousin Will's cheeks.  They are ginormous.  Emeline said, "If Will entered a biggest cheek contest he would win!  In a house they go from one wall to the other wall!"  His cheeks really are amazing.  (He's almost three months old and the rest of him is short and babyish and his hands are delicate, but his cheeks--oh my.)

On Sunday I told Harriet, "Let's go on a walk."  And Harriet said, "Yay, Ruthie!"  Ruth is Lindsay's daughter, and one of Harriet's bestest friends.  Lindsay and I have been trying to go on lots of walks.  Apparently, Harriet noticed.  :)  However, Sunday's walk was a family walk.  We even took Patsy.  Delightful.

Will's cheeks.  Pics don't do it justice.
Ruthie on one of our group walks.  Yes, I bought that shirt for Emeline.  Yes, it looks adorable on Ruth.
Lindsay wearing Will and pushing Ruth.  Harriet, abandoned, in the background.  Eli on one of Timothy's awesome DI finds.  It didn't look that nice when it was "found."  It is nice to be married to a man who is handy.
 Emeline and Eli.
 Cowen and Eli.
 Emeline and Harriet.
 Harriet, in a mood.
Emeline, Harriet, and me with Oskar.  Even his little legs are cute!
