I saw this painting posted on Chocolate on my Cranium and I instantly fell in love. This painting is gorgeous. I love the midwives--especially after listening to the painter, Brian Kershisnik, describe why he included midwives in the story. I also loved his explanation of why Joseph looks so upset and why Mary is comforting him. Awesome. I love everything about this picture--especially that Mary is resting and nursing and not kneeling.

Ands, I actually have a painting of that artist on my list to buy next year. April. It's going to happen. But yes, I love that nativity picture, I've seen it before, but the interview was really sweet. And Oskar is adorable!
