Very short update

We decided that we are going to pursue moving despite not having a ready buyer.  You know when you go to look at houses and you see all these trashed houses and you say in horror, "How did they let their house get into that condition??"

That's our house.  Trying to get an entire house spruced up to put on the market is painful.  Very, very, very painful (unless you're my mother and then your house is always ready to be viewed by a potential buyer--always).  Currently the hallway paint is drying, the table is covered with kitchen cabinets that have one side done and the other side have two coats of primer.  The items that normally live in my kitchen cupboards are on my bookshelves and piano in the living room and the cabinet bases are primed.  The downstairs is covered with wall patches, spackle and the normal amount of toys and laundry, plus the ripped out basement bathroom that we never used the whole time we lived here and now feel like we should make useable.

My bedroom is covered with the items that normally live in the hall closet that currently has paint drying on it.

To top it off, my gold walls are gone and everything is a terribly boring neutral.  Sniff.  On the flip side, I picked a white to put on the kitchen cabinets to cover up the hideous blue I lived with the whole seven years we lived here, and I LOVE it.  I never thought I would write a sentence that involved both the word white and the word love.  It is a very warm, creamy white and if I am ever forced to put a neutral color on something, I will use it.  I love it.

My house is such a disaster that I invited myself and my family to my parents for Sunday dinner.

And now I must go to bed.  I've been up until 3:00 am every morning this week trying get stuff done while the children are asleep.  I'm so tired I can't even find my bed.  Bad sign.  But now you have the update.  I have so much I want to say, but my fingers can only type at half my normal speed due to painting induced exhaustion so goodbye.

Ugh! Just the thought of moving is so stressful.......guess we are just going to have to die in this house.

We wish you all the best! I guess asking for pictures would be out of the question. ; )

P.S. Please tell your mom and dad I say hello.
