In October, I convinced a reluctant (and rather grumpy) Timothy to go hiking with me and the kids. It was a glorious day despite Timothy being a grouch. The leaves were golden, the creek was burbling, the children were adorable, and I didn't have to carry Clover while also helping Oskar and being pregnant. The top picture is Cowen being sad because he got in trouble.
Could Clover Leaf be any cuter?? No, she could not.
Emeline. She's growing up WAY too fast and getting prettier all the time.
Eli.
Oskar and Harriet. Harriet reminds me of my sister Megan in this picture.
Timothy, Clover, Oskar.
The troops. Miriam was at school. I've yet to adjust to having her gone or getting her there on time. I think we'd fare better if I homeschooled her the first two hours of the day so I didn't have to get her anywhere until 10:00 am. And by homeschool her I mean sleep in and take care of babies and get myself going on the day and then take her to school.
The kids' favorite rock on this trail. It is easy to climb on one side but has somewhat steep drop offs on the other sides so the children feel a great thrill of danger and adventure.
Plus, it is fun to dance on a large rock.
Timothy and Clover. Oh my goodness--I can never get enough of that baby! She's just such perfection.
October is my favorite month of the year and this year it felt especially glorious. Thank you, October, for existing.
