The before-festivities overwhelming excitement.
Clover.
Candle-blowing.
She was so cute and excited. She picked Marshmallow Mateys for her birthday dinner.
The crew.
Harriet got a doll with a bunny outfit and pajamas that match Harriet's Christmas pajamas. Harriet named her Rosie. She's beloved. Harriet also got an awesome Little Golden Book called Little Mommy. I don't recommend it for those who are opposed to teaching 1950s gender roles. I love it--as do all my kids. Plus, the little Mommy in the story has three baby dolls and one of them is named Annabelle. The spelling is different but Harriet was so excited that her book had the name Annabelle in it since we are naming our baby Annabel.
Harriet's Favorites:
Color: blue and red
Song: Rainbows on the Windowsill (one of Miriam's original compositions)
Book: Little Mommy (her birthday book)
Toy: my dolly
Food: macaroni and cheese
Activity: play fun games with Dad
Picture: the picture on the wall of mom and dad (she wanted to list more favorites, so she started adding her own ideas)
Favorite parent: Dad (rude--I knew that wasn't going to end well for me)
Favorite fish: Clownfish
Dessert: rice krispie treats (surprising--I didn't know she'd had those)
Friend: Devaney, of course! (Harriet left to finish her game and came back to add friend to her list of favorites. How could we have a list of favorites without Devaney!!)

Who knew cold cereal was an option for birthday dinners?? She is a genius!
Oh, I love her dramatic arm gestures by the cake. What a sweetie. And we love Little Mommy (except Goldie calls it "Mommy Baby.) And Rosie is the perfect name for a doll (that's Daisy's doll's name too!)
