Annabel's first time sleeping in her little bassinet.
Annabel with her monkey.
The quilt my mom made for Annabel--grandbaby number 47.
I deeply regret not getting Clover's reaction to Annabel on video. Clover was ecstatic--and vocally so.
All my darling children. They were mostly cooperative--except Oskar.
Timothy trying to jolly Oskar into sitting up for the picture.
Oldest, youngest, and middlest.
Miriam was in a good mood.
I have no idea what Miriam is holding. She doesn't have a phone.
Oskar, Emeline, and Annabel.
Emeline loves babies--especially her baby sisters.
I love how Oskar says, "Annabel." Another thing I need to get on video.
Love Harriet's face in the above photo. Isn't it strange that there are three redheads among my oldest four and only one redhead among my youngest four? When the oldest move it, the color scheme of the family will look entirely different.
Clover's excitement never abated.
There is something so very, very special about watching my children meet a new sibling. It is a contented sort of feeling to know that we are all here now--that we've completed our family and know what everyone looks like and everyone's names and genders. Now we can focus on enjoying each other and basking in the new baby glow. It is such a delight to have Annabel with us.

Ohhhh. I want her! She is perfect. And you have 8 kids now!!! Can you believe it?? I love your "contented feeling." That's a nice way to say it.
