Epic Star Wars Hoth Battle Birthday Party

Cowen and Eli decided to have a combined birthday party this year.  My kids only get birthday parties on their 7th and 11th  birthdays, and Eli turned 7 the same year Cowen turned 11 and they both love Star Wars.  It worked out very well.
The boys told Timothy that they wanted to recreate the Battle of Hoth.  I have nothing to do with the boys' parties as I am in charge of all the girls' parties, so it was not a problem that I know nothing about Star Wars.  Timothy knows about Star Wars.  Because he knows about Star Wars and boys and ATATs and whatever, he created a game just for the party that pitted the Rebels against the bad guys (I always forget what they are called), AND involved nerf guns.  The boys were in heaven.
Guest list for Cowen: Anders, Maxwell, Nick, Ben.  Guest list for Eli: Anders, Michael, and Milo.

At the last minute I called my sister-in-law, Amelia, to come take pictures since I needed to watch the other kids.  She dropped everything and dashed over and stayed for two hours taking pictures.  Yay for Amelia!!  She also posted this on facebook: "Anders had a good assessment of the battle. About halfway through, he laid his gun down on the floor and sat back on his heels to regroup. I was able to use my stealthy photographer moves to crawl close enough to hear him say quietly to himself, 'This is so intense....' Then he picked up his gun and jumped right back in- with a vengeance. I'm with you Anders, that was one truly intense battle!"

Tim made all the game components--including the mountains and those ATAT thingys.

Michael was there.
Eli totally reminds me of Alec in the Black Stallion in the above picture.  Something about the facial expression.
Timothy explaining how to play.
Anders was there.
More explaining.

Presents!

Nice pic, Maxwell.

Party food.

I did help with the cake.  Everything else was Timothy.  It was a fabulous party, the boys loved it, and Timothy wins Dad of the Year for sure!

He does look like Alec in the Black Stallion. Weird. I think it's a little the hair too (not color just length.) Awesome party and the cake looks fabulous!
