March 9, baby day 3

I've been trying to read and snuggle as much as possible--to follow Emeline's excellent example.  I finished the first Brotherband book (by Flanagan of Ranger Apprentice fame) and while it started off poorly, it picked up speed and I liked it by the end.  I also read Silver in the Blood by Jessica Day George.  She's really hit and miss--either awesome (Dragon Slippers) or not awesome, like Silver in the Blood.  Skip that one.  I also read Breaking Stalin's Nose.  It takes about 20 minutes to read and it is time well spent.  During my stay in the hospital I read Switch, the most recent in the Saavy series.  I really liked it.  Getting some reading time in is a big perk of having a baby.  :)

This picture was taken before my mom came and picked up the kids.  She took them from Wednesday through Saturday.  It was awesome and amazing and she is the best ever.  The kids had a fabulous time and the older ones didn't want to come home.  The littles, though, they were ready to see mom again.  Thanks again, Mom, for being AWESOME!!

I didn't love Switch as much. So sad really, when the other two were sooooo favorited.
