Halloween 2017

Considering how much I love looking at children in costume, it is surprising how little I like Halloween.  This was, by far, the most fun I've ever had on Halloween night.  Clover and Annabel were just so funny.  Annabel wanted to walk, and we kept thinking she would get tired, but she walked the whole time.  She was so hysterically officious about the whole thing.  Timothy and I kept looking at each other and laughing.  We did feel a little mean after we took them to the scary house.  The scary house has a robot that looks like a witch, so the kids ring the doorbell, the door swings open and then this creepy witch rolls towards them with a tray of goodies with no human in sight.  It freaks out the children.  Afterwards Clover wanted to go home, but we hadn't made it to the glow-stick house so the other kids refused to go home.  At every door Clover said, "Is there a scary witch?"  Sorry, kiddo.

Miriam and Cowen went to a homeschool Halloween activity, so Miriam dressed up for that.  They had a good time.
