A Little Sweetness

There is nothing sweeter than when you are kneeling down folding laundry and a two year old boy comes up behind you and wraps his arms around your neck and says:

"I have you. I love you. BOO!"

There is nothing funnier than when a two year old boy starts chattering non-stop for three minutes without saying one recognizable thing and when you finally interrupt and say, "Eli, what are you talking about?"

He says, after a thoughtful pause,

"I don't know."

There is little more exciting than getting beautiful fabric in the mail and knowing that soon you will be wrapping a brand-new person in it.

There is nothing kinder than a husband who comes home, notices that you've reached your limit, and takes over. And when you wake up from your two hour nap on the couch, he just looks at you with an "I like you" expression on his face and says, "The baby's room looks fantastic."

Thank you for noticing.

Thank you for not being annoyed that we had scrambled egg sandwiches for supper.

Thank you for getting the kids to clean up the house.

Thank you for playing memory with the kids for an hour. I know it isn't a riveting game.

Thank you for letting me take a nap.

Thank you for working on my blog for me.

Thank you for being my husband.

Love you.

I think that's extremely sweet. I like reading about good husbands. And funny kids.

I had the same thought as Kayli- I write nice things for Alma but it always feels a little braggy-braggy not thanky-thanky because i know he doesn't EVER look at the blog.
