Last fast Sunday, Cowen told me that he wasn't eating breakfast because he was fasting. I said fine and didn't think much of it.
That night in his prayer Cowen said, "Please help me to stop breaking stuff." Oh, sweet boy.
I went upstairs and told Timothy what Cowen had said and Timothy said, "That's what he was fasting for."
I love that he wants to get better at a problem he has and that he knows fasting can help him. Such a sweetheart. He says the best prayers--meaning he really thinks about what he is saying and doesn't ever just say the same thing, even when he blesses the food. He also says really thoughtful things when he bears his testimony. Love my boy.

I love seeing the gospel in action like that. As a parent, it's so neat and satisfying to see your children start understanding and practicing the Gosepl principles.
What a sweet kid. I like Cowen so much.
Beautiful! I am glad you wrote it down. Someday when he is in a leadership position in the church....he will be able to look back on this and see where his testimony began. Love it.
I hate mice.
