A few days ago we took a family walk to take advantage of the *rare* sunlight.
When we got home I wanted a picture of sleeping Harriet. The other kids were excited to see the camera.

Yes, I did take Emeline on a walk in her pajamas and then let her slide around on the muddy hillsides of the park. And we liked it.
The last few days we've been focused on the garden. Our garden is pretty much a disaster every year (except the one year my mom planted it for me . . . hmm). Last year we gave up and just kept everything dead. We can't seem to beat the goat's heads. This year, there weren't nearly as many prickles, but we have one weed variety that is resistant to Round-Up. We spent the last two days pulling weeds. Tomorrow I will borrow a roto-tiller and Timothy will roto-till and fix the fence (Patsy has been jumping it--sigh). Hopefully we'll have the garden planted by Saturday night.
Hopefully.

Have you tested your soil? You can get a kit at home improvement stores or gardening stores and it will tell you what your soil needs. Your cute family has grown so much. I feel like time should stand still from the last time we lived there!
