Have you ever noticed that compliments that you agree with mean a lot more than compliments that you don't? Meaning, if you think you have great hair than you LOVE IT when someone compliments your hair. But if someone says your hair looks nice, and you think it went horribly, than you don't really believe/appreciate the compliment as much. Compliments are funny that way. I was thinking about my favorite compliments and some that I thought were weird and thought I would share with you. Kayli and Kami, feel free to do the same.
Weird compliments. I will leave the complimentors anonymous for their protection.
1) "Andrea, you aren't really pretty or beautiful. Hmm. I think I would call you striking." What does that mean--striking?? A female said that--by the way.
2) "Andrea, I am always surprised by how good-looking your boyfriends always are." Implying that I am not cute enough to get really good-looking guys. Thank you. A female said that, too.
3) And the ever popular: "You sure have a lot of energy." Yes, yes I do, thank you.
My favorite compliments:
1) "You have the most amazing body." From my husband. I love him
2) "Your hair is the most beautiful color!" Many people have said that and I love every one of them.
3) The best compliment I have ever received I received indirectly. My then fiancee called my dad to ask him for permission to marry me. During the course of the conversation dad said, "Buckle up, it will be one exciting ride," ha ha. But he ALSO said, "Andrea is like her mom, she has incredible faith." Wow. Thanks Dad. I can't imagine a better compliment.

I can't think of anything really specific right now, but I love it each and every time Brett says I'm beautiful, because I NEVER feel like he's just saying it. He always means it when he says it. Makes me happy. It also sounds like I love you to me.
I always like it when people say how big my eyes are. They may not mean it as a particularly beautiful thing...but I certainly take it that way! One time someone said my body was great and I must do pilates every day. Great random lady at a swimming pool! (Too bad I was something like thirteen at the time).
Lindsay, that reminds me of the last time I went to the temple. I had hot curled my hair and it was pretty cute that day, but this random stranger about my age came up to me and said, "Your hair is so pretty, and you are just a beautiful person." Thank you stranger--you made my whole week.
