According to my pregnancy books--a mom cannot feel the baby before 16 weeks. If she thinks she does, than she is mistaken. It is probably gas or something else.
Well, guess what pregnancy book authors. I have felt my baby move twice and I am only 14 weeks. So there.
It is always fun to feel a baby for the first time. Miriam started out with little fluttering movements, just like the books describe, and she moved constantly. Not surprising considering this is Miriam we're talking about. The first time I felt Cowen was a kick. Not a gentle, first movement kick, but a whammo kick. Then again, I didn't feel him move nearly as early as Miriam. After that first kick, he kicked often--it was pretty much the only movement I felt. The last month of my pregnancy with him my ribs were so bruised I could hardly bend over. He kept his head in the same spot and kicked the same two ribs over and over . . . you get the idea.
The two times I have felt this baby have felt like little bumps. Like he just wants to let me know he's around. I'm glad you're around, buddy.
Have any of you felt your babies before 16 weeks?

Ans,
I have definetly felt all of our babies by 16 weeks and I am sure that I felt this baby at 14 weeks just like you so maybe they are wanting to play together.
I can't remember for sure. Been too long. But I think I did.
