On Saturday we went to the Fall Festival at the Heritage Center in Logan. Better known to me and Kami and Kayli as the Apple Festival. We went the first time as single women in college and had a smashing good time. Kami, remember the oxen I renamed Zeus and Thor? And Kayli, the barn that had an oh-so-tempting hayloft? And the Grim Reaper at the corn maze that we made take a picture with us? Good times.
I try to go every year.
This year we especially wanted to go to add to Miriam's colonial adventures. The farm was built in the early 1900s, so not quite Colonial--but still, riding around in a wagon and making corn-husk dolls is very educational.
Very intent.
Studying the equipment.
Pondering the fate of corn-husks everywhere.
My baby belly. Proof that yes, Kayli, I am fat. No need to call and ask ever again.
The scissors proved a bit tricky from that angle.
The reasons the pictures are so good is that Timothy took them. Thanks, Hon! (Yes, we're on speaking terms again.)
So I can tell you the GREAT NEWS!!! Timothy passed one of the CPA exams. Yahoo, callou, callay!! One down, three to go. He takes the next one in November.
More festival pictures to come.

Corn Husk Dolls! I love it! That is way cool. Can't say I ever made those in school.
I love the field trips. I care! I really, really am interested in what you do for homeschool. It keeps me motivated and competitive. (did I say competitive, of course I meant committed) Leslie
